Lenovo Chromebook S330 student review

                       Lenovo Chromebook S330 student review

When you think of a powerful computer, you might think of a MacBook Pro, or a Surface Laptop 3, or a Lenovo X1 carbon. Chromebooks are do necessarily come to mind.

Many people think of Chromebooks as boxes with slow, junky hardware...well, let's change that theory with the Lenovo Chromebook S330. This computer is living proof that Chromebooks are computers with small bezels, a good keyboard, an amazing trackpad, and the amazing simplicity of Chrome OS.

Since this is a review from a student's perspective, well...let's pretend to be a student. So, in short, you'll be waking up, taking a shower, making breakfast, and eating it at the same time, then you'll be sitting down in a designated area and getting to work.

The Lenovo Chromebook S330 design literally speaks, Get, Stuff, Done. It has a rugged exterior layer with a soft-touch material on the inside. It weighs about 3 pounds, and considering the power inside this machine, it is a bang for the buck design. Speaking about the buck, the base model is only about $243, which is cheap for a laptop.

The I/O is pretty good compared to computers such as the MacBook Pro (Only has 2 thunderbolt 3 ports and a headphone jack). The computer has a Thunderbolt 3 port, an HDMI port, a USB-A port, an SD card slot, a Kensington Lock, and a headphone jack. For most people, that would be enough ports to do almost everything, such as connect to a display without having to use many adapters or hubs.

The keyboard on this computer is just, amazing. Well, you can't really consider a bad keyboard on a Lenovo Laptop. The trackpad is your regular trackpad, smooth and slick. The display also gets the job done. For a person who has never used a 4K or another very high-resolution display, it seems just perfect. Although other people may have different thoughts.

Now the power in this thing is surprisingly good. You could code in bash, CROSH, or google collab without any buffering. Gamers can play Roblox just fine, and you just can't hate the small bezels on this thing.

The model I am using has 4 gigabytes of RAM, you can upgrade it to 8 gigs if that is not enough for your needs. You can also activate high contrast mode. Oh, and did I mention the fact that it has 10 hours of battery life on student use (maybe 8 on professional standards).

So, all in all, this laptop has everything someone would ever want...well...there are some fixable cons. Sometimes the display might not light up even if you press the power button. A fix to this is pressing the refresh button and the power button at the same time. Also, this chromebook is not really long lasting, it lasted me for around two years, which, in my standards is not enough. However, the quality and performance you get in those two years is amazing.

Okay, so I hoped you liked this review, if you want any more, just comment below!
